Cutting/pasting the content of a snippet into the snippet content box (i.e. from a Word document or other source), rather than directly typing the text of the snippet into the content box, can sometimes result in unexpected formatting of the resultant letter or report (despite having formatted the snippet content when creating it). This can be due to HTML formatting differences between browsers.
While entering content into a snippet you can consider following steps to eliminate fomratting issues.
- Cut/Paste the snippet content from the original Word document (or other source) into Notebook (usually included with Microsoft Windows on most PCs), which should remove the original formatting from the source document then cut/paste again into the new snippet content box, and format as desired. Click Save & Close.
- Cut/Paste the snippet content from the source to the new snippet content box, without regard for its original source formatting. If the resultant letter or report displays undesirable formatting, simply correct the formatting to the section(s) of the final letter or report to appear as desired. Click Save & Close.
- Avoid this issue (if experienced) by directly typing the snippet content into the new snippet content box, and format as desired. Click Save & Close.
